Hahah.. lolz @ rice wid bread. That’s a tough one 2.
Yeah, dude!! Were we famous or wat?
(I think we still are…)
Since after you left the locality, whenever someone orders a biryani and seekh-kabab (ofcourse not to be eaten together) – the guys at Mateen’s are like “Whoaa! Are those two wierdos back!?!?” 😮
hey pls reply me back. my name is Ammar. and for at least a 7 years from now, i have been using RoNiN as a nick. then i saw yours. i got really surprised. talk to you, bro.
Hi Ammar,
It is nice to know you. I have known Pakistan and Pakistanis through your News papers mainly “Dawn”which I read regularly and through Ptv and some times ARY Digital.I have seen your Tv soaps and liked them a lot. What ever I know about Pakistan, I like it and I am sure majority of Pakistanis are peace loving people.I would like to know more about an ordinary middleclass Pakistani citizen.I would apreciate if you could give me the links of some female Pakistani bloggers who write about general day to day life. That would be a nice way of knowing our neigbours.I met a few of your designers at the Bridal Asia show in Delhi, they were snobbish and I was diasppointed. The people who have visited Pakistan tell me people are very warm hearted.Thanks.
Its nice to knw you and reading your blog is always informative and interesting. Its very nice to know tht your on a quest [heh.kinna] on understanding Pakistanis and Pakistani women in particular. Your Past experience with the so called fashion industry didn’t left any memorable impressions but thn, they dont represent the masses.
I would be more thn exicted to provide you with the links of the blogs you are actually looking for but honestly i don’t want to disappoint you, again. I knw some female writers that either don’t blog and if they do they don’t blog about the material you are actually looking for. In short I am not aware of your Pakistani counterpart. sorry 2 disappoint you.
1st and foremost, my guess is that you dwell on darker side. And since there is no color darker than black so…
Secondly, even if contents or writings is to be read afterwards still one gets the impression of.. splashing in water to guess the direction…or moving in circles to find the right way
i guess i got carried away with my liberal use of idioms.
What i mean is that…
You may be confident about many things but you’re still on the look out for many stuff(perhaps paths is a better word). Trying to decide whats wrong and right. Basically exploring the possibilities, atleast to me,thats what your blog n writing shows…
I’m afraid i still havent made myself very clear…
These are just guesses. I wrote what i felt and i dont know how correct i am…
and for ur information it could have been any other picture but keeping the original theme into consideration i decided to have this pic where samurais are depicted fighting in a battlefield and endup being ronins.
Can you please post Zulmat kade main tere shabe gham ka josh hai by Ghalib along with the translations of the difficult words like you did with the other ghazal. No post from you for a long time!!!!! Everything fine?
@ pr3rna
O yeh im f9 with the grace of GOD 🙂 tx for ur concern. im busy with projects, presentations n term papers 😛 i knw its beena while that i have added smthgn from ma side on the blog, inshallah il write somethng and as far as teh ghazal by Ghalib is concerned I see what i can do, infact il be more than happy to add another ghazal by Mirza Ghalib.

You ‘ve Been BlogRolled!!! 🙂
I would have done it earlier, but it was only today that I realized your blog was not there on my page….. keep the good posts coming…..
Hey, thanks for the comment on my “Love in the Time of Cholera” post. I think you should read the book first. You sort of get entangled into this reality of Marquez’s “magic realism” genre. Then I guess you could judge the movie against the book. I have no idea how their movie is going to fair in the box office or against more critics. Enjoy the book though.
Hi Ammar,
nice to see your blog esp the Bulleh Shah one. Listen, Can you help me with something. By anyhow do you have the whole poem ‘Bulleh Noo Samjhaven’, it was sung by Abida Parveen and then recently in Shoaib Mansoor’s movie ‘ Khuda Kay Liye’. Unfortunately, I don’t speak Punjabi :(, do you have this poem in english or may be, urdu.

whats the meaning of the word Ammar in your native tongue (is it Urdu/Punjabi/Sindhi/etc.) ? In Sanskrit it means ‘eternal’
My mother tongue is urdu by the way. But the name is of arabic origin; as you have shown your interest in Islamic history. Here is a lil something that might interest you;
