A ronin was a masterless samuri during the feudal period (1185–1868) of Japan. A samurai became masterless from the ruin or fall of his master, or after the loss of his master’s favor or privilege. Since a ronin doesn’t serve any lord, he is no longer a samurai. A samurai is a “servant”, since the noun came from the verb “saburau” which is the Japanese for “to serve”.The word ronin literally means “wave man” – one who is tossed about, as on the waves in the sea. The term originated in the Nara and Heian periods, when it originally referred to serfs who had fled or deserted their master’s land. It is also a term used for samurai who had lost their masters in wars.

What makes you consider yourself a ronin?
Wow. I never thought somebody would ask me this question.
As you have read a ronin is a materless samurai, who is forsaken and abondoned due to a failure of a mission. In our lives we face many challenges and missions which we have to face and tackle whether we like it or not. The failure to which is natural as anyother task given to a man.
We are bound to live like a ronin sometimes in our lives. A masterless servant; who is cursed to live a life of misery. My blogs rarely reflect my dark side as men are discouraged to be an ’emo’ 😛
Your blog, however, does reveal one aspect of that darkness..the theme is decidedly black!
I guess u didn fancy the phsychological aspect of it.
but i do!
Where did u get that kick-butt theme?
Theme?
If you are talking about the layout, its one of the wordpress’s theme. I edited the picture though on Photoshop. thanks for your comments.
Nice blog you ve got here buddy…. and very good Ronin touch… I came to know about Ronin history after watching the movie Ronin 🙂 Hey btw, what is the meaning of Ammar (if thats your real name)… sounds pretty cool, never heard it before
Thank you Oemar You are most welcome here 🙂
Yes my real name is Ammar. Its an Arabic name. I was named after Hazarat Ammar Bin Yasir (RA) one of the HOLY PROPHET’s (SAW) companion.
Oh thats cool… I guess I need to improve my Hadees knowledge then 🙂
I was reading through the comments and realized that paradaus has already asked them.
Wow, when I saw the word ‘Ronin’ at the top. I never thought that it is a japanese word. Its interesting how ya have that nick.
And i hope samurai isnt that bad either(pointing at myself):D
Dear Ronin
It was heartening to see the rafi numbers chosen by you. They had two timeless score composed by no other than Pancham da. I would like you to hear this number from Pyar Ka Mausam ” Meri nazar me sirf tum ho ” the prelude to rafi hardly heard verssion of Tum bin Jaoo Kahae. See the way Pancham has made Rafi Sahib change scales with the perfect blend of the brass and Manhori Singh Sax. A collectors item if you are a Rafi sahib fan then you must hear this. More on some immortal numbers
of Pancham da
